Due to the unpredictable recurring epidemic, everyone's life has been affected. Even though the government has not locked down the city like before, many people choose not to go out. Of course, this also affects the congregation returning to church to attend services.

We are grateful for the thirty brothers and sisters serving in the IT team, worship team and the welcoming team in the past few weeks in Mandarin service. They have been faithful in their service by turning up to church on time every Sunday morning to rehearse and prepare for online live broadcast, despite the current unstable pandemic situation.

I am greatly encouraged by this group of brothers and sisters who are united and faithfully serving God. We serve God with the same heart and mind, we understand there may be challenges but most importantly we know why we  serve, that is to serve our Lord Jesus Christ alone.

Recently we read the very familiar story about Jesus feeding 5,000 people with five loaves and two fishes. This passage reminds us again that with the seemingly insufficient resources “Jesus already had in mind what he was going to do.” God has His plan. What is impossible for man, but if He is willing, He can do everything because all things in the universe are created by Him. There is nothing that God cannot do.

This story reminds us not to look at the constraints of the environment or resources, but who is in charge of the situation.

The heaven and the earth were created through Jesus Christ. He is willing to be with us. He is willing to take care of us and save us. He will not withhold any good thing from us, so what should we fear?

We are in an epidemic, and looking at the environment may make people lose their confidence, but in our church, we see people do not lose heart.  The diligent service of the brothers and sisters becomes our encouragement.

We will never know the good deeds that God has planted in everyone's heart, but seeing every witness, the life changed by God, reminds us that we should continue to focus on the works of Jesus Christ. Keeping our eyes on the works of Jesus Christ will neither discourage us nor make us stumble.

Thank God, during the epidemic, we are challenged by God to build our faith in Him. Let us continue to focus on God and trust in Him no matter what the situation is.
