Many of us have travelled beyond Sydney. When we leave our home city for work, holidays or family visits, do we consider how Jesus’ Great Commission to “make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19) applies wherever we go?
During Missions Month, we can learn about gospel work in places with which we have little direct connection. Today, for example, we can hear about ministry in East Asia and on university campuses. You might also attend another worship service to learn about another mission field.
While our focus is often limited to our own social circles, hearing from others may encourage us to look beyond our neighbourhood, because God’s heart is for all people. Even when researching a travel destination, we can learn about its people, their spiritual needs and the gospel work among them. We can also support our church’s mission ministries through prayer:
• Remember our supported gospel workers at the Combined Prayer Meeting.
• Join the Missionary Committee’s prayer meeting to learn about and pray for a supported gospel worker.
• Pray for the 15 members preparing for the Thailand Short-Term Mission in January next year.
• Pray for the planning of the 2027 Philippines Medical Mission Trip.
• Join the monthly prayer meeting for the Hudson and Maria film project, currently being filmed in Malaysia.
As we live in a global village and encounter cultures beyond our own, may the Spirit enlarge our vision, help us share God’s heart for the nations, and align our priorities with His call to make disciples of all nations.

我們也可以透過禱告，支持教會參與的宣教事工：
• 在聯合祈禱會中，記念教會所支持的福音工作者。
• 參加宣教委員會的祈禱會，認識並為支持的福音工作者禱告。
• 為明年一月參加泰國短宣的15位隊員禱告。
• 為2027年菲律賓醫療短宣的籌備禱告。
• 參加每月一次的祈禱會，為現正在馬來西亞拍攝戴德生與瑪利亞的電影禱告。
我們身處地球村，也有許多機會接觸不同文化。願聖靈擴闊我們的視野，使我們體貼神對萬民的心意，並調整生命的優先序，回應祂使萬民作門徒的呼召。
